Linkin Park has been my favorite band since their first release. I have always felt such a connection through their music. So naturally, I was devastated when I heard the news that Chester Bennington (the frontman) had committed suicide.  I identify with Chester on so many levels. After hearing what he had to say in this video, I admire him even more.

Whether you’re a Linkin Park fan, or have never even heard of them, you should watch the video below. His story is inspiring – and I’m sure quite a few of you will be able to relate.

When the outside world tells you that you’re not good enough, you can always raise your middle finger and walk away. But when those voices inside keep telling you you’re not good enough, for most there’s no real escape. And more people struggle with this than we can even imagine.

Tell someone how much you love them, how much you value them – you never know what their inner voices are saying. It may not seem like much, but just a few simple words can make a world of difference to someone. We all need to hear how we are needed and appreciated. Never just assume someone “knows.” Tell them. And start with yourself.
